the district is ran by a bunch of very immature "adults" who don't care about the kids at all. i had to take my son out of their due to their immature, petty actions and my other children will not be going there.

my daughter had diabetes and Suffield made her feel right at home and made me feel safe leaving her. Her teacher knew about diabetes and was an awesome teacher. The school nurse was caring and called me even when she didn't need to. Everyone really has theri act together!

I have had three children attend this school. All had very positive experiences. This school has many excellent teachers who actually attended this school themselves, which says a lot for the district.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
