Little to no communication between teachers and working parents who can't always be at the school. Principle has trouble dealing with problems with the students, teachers, and parents. Has an excuse for everything. Staff is good about talking about God, but fail to live in His example. My kids are better at learning by example and I don't think this was a good learning experience for them. Academically, it is average.

Superb School. The teachers and faculty are the best. They actually Pray and have GOD in their reading books, unlike the public school system. The education is superb

What an excellent School. The faculty and teachers are superb. My kids love it. They actually talk about GOD and PRAY everyday. They learn about GOD and how to respect others unlike the public school system. WONDERFUL

My son attended this school for four years, K-3. He had an older woman for Kindergarten, who he then had again in 3rd grade. She was a nightmare. There was never any encouragement or positivity in her classroom. When my son would be reprimanded, she would tell him that he doesn't deserve to go to Christian school. He would end up in the office in tears. I would never receive a call from any of the faculty, but would receive calls from other parents who volunteered at the school to tell me what was going on. Also, when my son was in second grade, he was wrestling (playing) with another student and got in trouble. He was made to sit in front of the office, which I thought was a reasonable punishment. Two months later, I find out he's still being made to sit in front of the office. When I called to ask about it, I was told it was not for punishment, but for his safety. He was the only one. I guess all the other kids were in danger because they didn't have to sit there for 2 months? I get it, my son is not easy, but I paid beyond my means to send my son to school here and it was a complete waste. He is now cyber schooled and is doing great!

If you truly mean a shy kid who wants to be outgoing, then I would help them interact with one child at a time. If you are talking about an introverted child, refer to http://www.carlkingdom.com/10-myths-about-introverts

Find something you are good at or enjoy doing a lot, just one thing. You'll gain confidence and meet other kids that enjoy that activity too. Mine was singing in choir. I wasn't good at anything else but that built my confidence for other things... More »
