We have been at this school for many years through several children and are sad to be leaving. The classes are so individualized - there is an incredible amount of differentiation going on, and the teachers and principal go above and beyond. The new principal, Mr. LeCrone, is so involved and caring. I have complete confidence that my last child will go to middle school just as well-prepared as my first one did - Brookdale does an amazing job!

We recently moved to Illinois from Texas simply becasue the schools were ranked much higher. We feel privledged to have our child attend Brookdale. They have exceeded all of our expectations. The staff are excellent and very caring with all the children. The PTA is exceptional. I highly recommend Brookdale.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
