There are some great teachers like Mr. Pike, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Whelchel, and Ms. Trujillo who make learning a more interesting and rewarding experience.

I have attended La Sierra High School all for years, and i would have to say that there is Nothing wrong with La Sierra High. I read about other people saying that they are dealing with racial issues, and that is totally false. La Sierra is a well-rounded school, which YOU have the ability to make it a good school, or bad. You can be yourself at La Sierra and not have to worry about other people and how they react. I highly recommend this school, and tell people if they heard La Sierra is a bad school, it isn't. It was, however, in the past in the 90s, but it is a much better and safe school.

The best part about the school are the AP teachers. These teachers go into a mediocre school with the intent to help and guide students to the best of their abilities. The school is not be in the best of neighborhoods, and therefore comes the racial problems. It is not necessarily the case that a good education isn't obtainable at la sierra, but the students work for what they receive. School spirit is not great at La Sierra. The administration needs to make drastic changes to get in touch with the children, but they have not gotten it right so far. I hope the school improves. I really want to revisit my alma mater and see children actually enjoying what they go to every weekday.

This school is very unsafe. Their is constant race problems. The staff are o.k. The Principal is one of the worst, he takes the smallest thing and makes a big deal and when something big happens, he barly moves a finger! My only concern is the race problems though.
