Leonard middle school has a bully problem bad! I moved here to get out of the city thought it would be better for my kids and my son gets bullied everyday and only one coach does anything about it. The principle is great but I know she has many students to watch over. People in Leonard are proud and small towns are suppose to be friendly and welcoming--good luck with that. I found comfort in our church but that is the only place in this town welcoming. The teachers do the minimal communication about my son's progress--he does great until he gets picked on and then looses interest and just gets mad. I've had meetings with the principal and talked to staff and they are aware of the problem but do nothing because of "everyone knows everyone status." My son is a city boy, not a country boy and should not be picked on for that nor should he picked on for people thinking he is Spanish when he's white. He isn't the only one who gets picked on--some of the other kids that attend our church are also victims of bullying. Sad
