I had a lot of fun at this school, but entering high school now I realized I wasn't really prepared.

I have had a great experience with SVMS. I filled out a 'will call you' form and I was called back promtly with in 24 hours. The staff went way beyond the call of duty to help me with my request and help my daughter. I am so thankful for their efforts. The staff is very professional and Mrs Tatum, the principal, does seem to really enjoy her job.
Even though I read all the reviews on all the schools before choosing this one, I really chose it for the qualities of the high school. My son's lowest grade on the last two report card was a 96 and four of the grades were 100's. He is smart. The teachers don't reward him, they seem to punish him. When he finishes his work early, they make him do the other kids work. He gets put on group projects with others who don't do anything and then they all get his A. If you know your child will never be more than a burger flipper, then go for it, take the free ride. If your child is gifted and headed far, don't let this school pull them down. Oh, don't ever fill out the 'will call you back' form, they never do.
