I am a current parrent of a child in this school. I was very excited originally to have my son go there. I am not happy with their (full) schedules. My son is currently scheduled to have 3 classes for a full time schedule. Does that make any sense. 2 free periods during the day. That is a full schedule. The administrators are so worried about him not getting over worked. 2 Educational classes and 1 elective with no homework. Wow... If you are moving here. Look into a private school. If you can not swing that look into another. If all you want is a school for sports I think you will be ok with North...

North is the best schol I've been to so far. The kids are nice and the community is very involved with what goes on there. North has a bad reputation because people think the kids just like to fight and party but none of that is true, th kids at north are very smart and always do their work. Next year north will be divided up into four small schools based more on one type of curricular activity. They call it the Bill Gates Grant since Bill Gates is the one that gave them the money to do all this. Next year North will probably be the best high school in Eugene, even better than Sheldon. I strongly reccomend sending your kids there.

I am not a parent but a former student (2000). Even if north is not the highest rated academically, it is a very accepting school. There are no real cliques, and everyone is pretty accepting overall. I was an athlete in highschool and my overall experience in highschool at north was a very positive one, i will definately put my kids through north when the time comes. Just a few awesome teachers to name: Mike Jodoin, Brandy Wormdahl, Cory Nicholsen, and former teacher (Roy Bass) As for all the improvements inside, i think the money could have been better spent on the neccessities, not the architecture...and as for clubs and sports, i am a coach now at north, and everyday i walk the halls and see a new sign for a new club and a new opportunity for every different personality.

North Eugene High School is an EXCELLENT school that provides so many opportunities for my two children that attend it. I have one son (Sean) that graduated with his class in 2002. Unfortunately I must say when Sean attended I was not impressed. But I am proud to say that at the beginning of this year two great men (Mr. Gillmore, and Mr. Tromba)took over the principle rolls turned that school in a direction that I would have never expected. The two got in touch with the state and received millions of dollars in grants. The school now offers so many classes and opportunities that were never given before. I am proud to say that my two sons attend North Eugene High School. Sincerely, Caren Waterman.
