What a start this year. Team teaching, integrated learning, hands on skills, math opportunities for all levels (regardless of age), kids have a chance to work on individual and group projects with mentors during the week. Long thought out revisions into behavior policy as well as a whole new proactive approach to encouraging behaviors that are desired. Check out open house or web site for more information.

No curriculum, many behavior problems and young inexperienced teachers are only the tip of the iceberg. The Board of Trustees refuses to hear parent input and suggestions for improvement. They do not protect the students from the main bully in the school and have lost 6 students this year from my son's class alone because of these problems. The turnover rate is so high that it affects the continuity of the classrooms with families comingand going all year.

Dedicated Staff and educational opportunities shine at this school. A monumental amount of work has gone into the differentiated education aspect as well as continued work from staff on behavior models. The administrative model still needs work or needs to be revised. Look over the ideals of the school, meet with staff and ask questions to see if the model fits your family and your child's learning style. It has great potential, but might not be the best fit for everyone.

If you want your child to get a good education they deserve then this is not the school for your child. The truth is, there is no curriculum, which I discovered months later. The communication between the parent and the staff is poor if any. My child never brought homework from school. Safety is another major concern. With a great number of behavioral problems, they do not practice zero tolerance therefore bullies are at play.
