I Think Northside is a great school for kids. I have sent my child to southside they may have gret test scores but they moved so fast that hardly anyone could pickup.

As a junior at Northside, I feel that education here is just at the adequate level. Some pluses to this school is that in most of the core subjects there are teachers who know what they are doing and know how to make students understand what is being taught. Northside has many extra curricular activities that can keep students as busy as they wish to be. The academics are challenging and can be conquered with hard work and determination. However, this school has its fill of teachers who do not need to be there and do not seem to care about their students. In a way, it depresses me to see many students file serious complaints and not see the principal or anyone else do anything about it. This is why I rated this school the way I did.

Obviously from the first post and the test scores you can gather this school needs vast improvement in the educational quality of learning. As far as a 'down to earth' learning institution, it exceeds its counterpart (SHS)... there is less pressure on the student socially, but what the student gains in confidence, they ultimately lack in educational benefit.

I'm am a student at NHS. I belive it is one of the best schools. At northside you have many extra classes you have AJROTC in which shs dose not have but many shs students come to nhs 7th period for AJROTC. It is more like the real world then outher schools. Theres all types of races, relegions, monitary statis. I live 10 min's from SHS but I reather go to NHS. Because NHS in my mind is more friendly then outhers schools I've been to. They accept you for who you are not what you have or what they belive you will give them. They want you for what they can give you. You can talk to teachers about anything and they will help you. They are very reliable. I would not go anyelse ever!
