Well lets just say this school is one of those school that even after your children have moved onto high school you still want to go and be a service of!
Teachers are great, kids are great and motivated, school is racially mixed, which is nice, and unusual for most Chicago suburbs, kids get great test scores, are motivated, get a Christian background, and there are no discipline problems there. Nice sports organization allows all kids to participate. My daughter loves it here.
SLOT is a wonderful school it does get tougher when you get to the junior high and you must be ready for responsibility and we really were able to balance out religion and academics perfectly!

My two children attended SLOT. What most parents don't realize is that the quality of education at this school is top-notch. I'd like to emphasize that top-notch does not just mean for this neighborhood, but top-notch in comparison with any school in any neighborhood in any socioeconomic bracket. The children can compete on any level with any school in the state and beyond. Children attending this school are more than adequately prepared for the most challenging course of study at any high school, 9 times out of 10 in honors and AP courses, and well-equipped for post-secondary education. Not only is the education great; all students have the opportunity to participate in band, foreign language study, computer technology training, as well as a variety of sports. All of this bundled in an environment of Christian values. The best kept secret in the south suburbs.
