The Teacher are awesome. My son love it there. He is only 4 years old, but he know how to read, write and talk much much more then all of our friend's kids.
This is my 2nd year at NVES, and I am glad it is my last. This school is a disaster. Parent volunteers have no leadership, and 'mingling' is not encouraged. As a volunteer, I feel I am intruding. The PTA is lacking. If you are not in the clique, your offers of help are overlooked. Lastly, there are almost no functions for parents to get familiar with the school, the teachers and most important, each other. Parents at this school need to get more invloved and see what is really going on here. I get the sense the teachers are as unhappy as some of the parents.
We recently moved to Temecula from San Diego. Our daughter was attending a school within Poway Unifed school Distrtict. I must say that Nicolas Valley is just perfect and met as well as exceeded all of our educational expectations. The teachers are great, the schooling system is very challenging but just right for the development of our daughter's education, the level of education is suberb...Thank you Teachers!
The teachers that I have encountered are great. The 'Knight Ticket' and 'Peacebuilder' programs are great! I think that it is obvious that the school is lacking the funding that it needs. The grounds and outdoor equipment could use an update.
