Adamson Middle is improving because the administration does seem to care about the students. Yet, I found that some teachers found it difficult, and yes frustrating, to deal with several students with serious disciplinary problems. This is especially true, when students threaten the teachers, including substitutes, with the statement, Oh, my mom will curse you out and the principal. Yes, I agree that one should apply different learning techniques, to see which method is the optimal match for the overall learning style of students. But if a class seems to be full of students who have serious disciplinary problems, then it makes it harder for class instruction to take place. Parents and educators should acknowledge this. Overall, there is a need for more positive parental involvement in the school, so that the teachers feel that each parent is supportive of his/her child s learning.
The school has gone through a lot aof administrative changes over the last two years. In spite of this my son loved going to school daily. The principal always greeted me with a personal conversation and his teachers truley cared about what they where doing. It could be very easy for me to complain about little things as many parents do, but I choose to get invoved through the PTSA. I am looking foward to my daughter coming there next year.
Uses group discipline, teachers do not seem to care about individual students, lacking good administrative personnel, not informative to public about school events.
there are some teachers who are very good, but nbot a lot. There is a lot of good activities, but not a exceeding school.
