From the outside, the school is not very impressive. However, what is happening on the inside is absolutely fantastic. It is a small school with a well taught program. There is a broad range of specialty courses that are available early on and allows the kids to grow and learn a ton. The teachers care about the students and there are plenty of enrichment opportunities from advanced math, PEN, foreign languages, robotics, and other after school activities. One word of caution however, is that the attendance has been increasing and the class sizes are getting larger. This is something that will need to be addressed soon since it is impacting the relationships that the teachers have with the children. All in all, a great school!

I could not be happier with the teachers, principal, gifted program, curriculum, and the PTO.

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
