I think that Sampit is a dedicated school. The principal and staff are very passionate with the kids learning. I am very satisfied with them and wish that they continue the good work.

The school makes great strides toward excellence. The benefit of the school's math and reading programs are reflected in the increasing test scores and National Blue Ribbon status. Highly qualified teachers seek professional development which enables them to craft innovative and hands on lessons. Further experiences for all students are provided outside of the classroom with various field studies. One of the programs at the school has changed the reading culture of the entire school by providing an abundance of high interest literature appropriate for every child at every level which is utilized in school and at home. Extracurricular activities are offered by way of academic workshops for parents and students, school musical and dramatic performances, the after school child care program, boy scouts, girl scouts, and the academic and science fairs. Events are held throughout the year where parents are invited to bond with and celebrate their children.

I used to feel as if this was the best school in Georgetown County for my children. At the moment, due to several problems that I have had with the administration at this particular school, I have to say there needs to be some changes made. I am always at the school participating with any area that I can. The communciation between the principal and the parents should be addressed. The academics at this school have fallen since my children first attended. I feel that the school lacks extracurricular activities for the children. The principal has become complacent and does not properly distribute her resources toward parents, children, and faculty for the benefit of the children. This is the poorest administration that I have ever seen and she is riding off of the childrens test scores and achievements.
