Lakeside Academy was awarded an 'A' rating by the FL Dept. of Education. Not only that, which by itself is quite an achievement for a school in western palm Beach County, but it also met AYP. The dedication of the school's administration is incredible and they are to be held in high esteem for their leadership and perseverance under the most trying of circumstances.
Lakeside got graded an 'A'. My kids go to this school, its great, they're teachers are great and I applaud them for a job well done.
My children transferred to Lakeside Academy from a local elementary school. They were not A students, and they had some attention and discipline issues as well. But those are not reasons why they were not given the care and attention that they needed. Since coming to Lakeside, the discipline issues have disappeared and their school work improved big time. The Principal at Lakeside is always available to all parents, and so are the teachers. The school is run with care and love, and the students are given all chances to express themselves instead of being held down by 'discipline'. School should be a fun place to go to learn!
Lakeside Academy was one of the most poorly run schools I have ever seen. There was terrible administration and severe disorganization. I highly recommend students to attend any school before choosing Lakeside Academy. There was no extracurricular activities for the students. The executive director barely attended and students with major discipline problems were never given attention, leaving the other students to suffer. This school was and will always be a disgrace.
