Children are very unruly and the environment makes it difficult for satisfactory learning to occur. Seems to be no consequences for those students who do not follow the rules.
This school is a progressive neighborhood school. The principal is super positive and the teachers are wonderful. The principal says her school is the best kept secret in the city and I have come to believe it. Our children simply love this school!
As the current President of Howard Roosa'a PTA, I must comment that the parent involvement for the 2 years that my daughter has been there leaves a lot to be desired. I have had a core group of parents/grandparents/family members that have been more than willing to help. But I assure you that the number is not more than 8. Come on folks!
