I moved here from the mid-west and love the community and curriculum the school focuses on! They follow the same curriculum from the mid-west and if I was ever to move back my child will not be left behind!

I was not thrilled with OLLV and recently moved my child to another school. The class sizes were too large (35-40 children per teacher). Some teachers can handle this large class size, but it is more likely that the average teacher will not be able to keep up with the load. I was not impressed with the level of friendliness of the office staff, either. As a paying parent, I expected that my reception in the school office would be courteous and respectful, but more often than not, the office staff would be cold and unfriendly. It seemed to me that the wealthier you were (i.e. if you had extra money which you donated to the school), the better treatment you received by the vice principal and secretaries. This school fell short of my expectations.

This is an outstanding school. A professional and caring staff of teachers who provide a loving discipline to all the children. The staff receives holy communion everyday before classes start. The principle (mr. Richard martinez) is franciscan educated and is phenomenal not only with the children and teachers, but with the parents as well. This school is part of the our lady of las vegas catholic church grounds, but has a self-contained campus with appropriate security measures. A beautiful campus where the children can play and learn without outside distractions. The proof is in the pudding - the children are respectful of each other (helping classmates) and adults (sir and ma'am) are the norm. My highest rating for this fantastic school!
