Calaveras Elementary School

My kids love this school and I have 2 in the AAA and one in Calaveras. I also love the president of the Pto she so easy to talk to. Come on by and get to know her and get involved to help with your child school wether they are in AAA or Calveras.. They're are a team!

My child is attending the Accelerated Academy at Calaveras. I'm not convinced the program is working the way is supposed to. The school environment is not that good. Kids at the Academy are teased and harassed by the other kids in the regular grades. The API score went up 72 points but mainly because of the Star test results from the kids in the Academy, since they are gate and high achiever students. The staff is ok.

We've been fortunate to be able to join the Calaveras Family through the Academy. The staff, parents and principal are so welcoming. A novel concept that education and fun can be accomplished! A definate must meet and see for yourself!

Calaveras Elementary School has had wonderful success with their Accelerated Reading and Accelerated Math programs for all types of learners. For three years, we have had an art instructor teach classes to every class. The PTC welcomes any parent interested in becoming involved. There are English only, Spanish only, and English and Spanish speakers. We also hold a great Learning English Class for parents. Our grounds are the best maintained in the whole school district and we have very dedicated teachers. So far, Calaveras is the only large school in Hollister that has every student enter the San Benito Fair an art entry and a craft entry. If the subjects of reading, math, P.E., art, and music are important to you, come and visit our school!
