I came from Miami, Florida and my son was doing so well at Coconut Grove Elementary School. He had an excellent teacher. We had to move back out to California. My son was first placed in Anton elementary school that was a great school after we came from Miami then we moved to the high desert and things have gotten crazy. He has been placed from school to school first Westside Park elementary school they say that this is not his area school that his area school is short teachers so the over flow would have to go to these other schools crippled already due to budget cuts and no funding, overrun classrooms and stretched teachers that are underpaid and under appreciated. Now My son is being moved to what they say is his area school Adelanto Elementary. I hope all of this is not for nothing. How is this school?
I really like Adelanto Elementary School. All the teachers are exelent and my kids score are high and they like to go to school so I'm so happy with AES
My son started Kindergarten at Adelanto Elementary. I had to switch his teacher half way through due to he lack of effort to get to understand my son and, the other students and, reports of her yelling at the children . Though I felt more comfortable with his new teacher, I discoverd a problem with the office staff. Every time I had to go to the office, for any matter, I witnessed the staff being impatient and, condescending towards the children who came in. Plus, continuous technical problems. With the exception of the principle. Though he should be more concerned with the staffs interaction with the students. So in first grade I put my son in Victoria Magathan. Due to a mishap he was enrolled back in Adelanto for 2nd grade. I do not think I will have my son continue his education here and will go back to Victoria Magathan.
We moved to this school a year ago, and I had a few problems finding the right teacher to meet my expectations. Some of the teachers have put emotions before ethics when involving communication with me about my child, and I found that to be unprofessional. The school does a great job with the resources it has to hold assemblies. The after school program is wonderful, one of the best we have attended. Great organization and activities, and the kids beg to stay. There has been quite a bit of bullying at this school, however the principal is quick to resolve, and is always available to listen.
