I am very pleased with the staff at Riverside Intermediate School. My daughter is there for the second year. She had a great teacher in the second grade, Ms. Grear who always stayed in touch with me as to how my child was doing in her class as well as in other activities. She was very supportive in helping my child progress as she should have been. She has a wonderful teacher this year, Mrs. McAdams who is also on track with my child in the same manner. The staff there is wonderful and you're always greeted with a smile. I called Dr. Thurmond (assistant principal) before school started with questions. She wasen't able to talk with me at that time, but called me back a few minutes later as promised. That itself speaks for the Administration/parent relationship that you would look for in a 'Great School'.

Riverside Intermediate Rocks! There are so many things to do. The school is great for parents and children. The teachers really care about the kids you can feel it when you enter the school. Everyone smiles which is a good sign.

If you are a teacher who actually wants to teach, don't come to this school. The administration only cares about assessments, data, and lots of meetings during your planning time and lasting long after school. This is not a school for real teachers or for parents who want their children to be taught more than they are tested.

I am greatly pleased with my daughter's teacher, Ms. Herring. She always keeps me informed and when we discovered that my daughter was having some problems in social studies she was pleased to send some extra work home and directions so that I could help her. I feel that the teachers and staff take a great pride in the students of this community which is rubbing off on the parents and students. I can assure you that Riverside is one of the major reasons that I moved to the area.

You get what your tax dollars pay for! Excellent school for the money in my opinion.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
