Belding Middle school is a terrific place for kids! We have many unique programs that other schools of a similar size might not have - like both Mac and PC labs, and lots of unique clubs and extracurricular activities. Our school was actually chosen to be a Nathional School to Watch by the Forum for Middle Level Reform. This is a great honor which has only been bestowed on 5 other MI middle schools so far. We recieved this award not just for academic excellence (which, of course we have!) but also for our well-rounded, developmentally appropriate programs, well-qualified staff and positive building climate. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to attend this school. I know that it will be one her best school experiences in her lifetime!!

I am a student at Belding Middle School and I think the school is a good school. The teachers are nice exept if you disrupt the class and they will give a warning and ask the RTP questions which is Responsable Thinking Process and if you get asked these questions twice you get sent to RTC which is Responsable Thinking Center where you write a plan about how you will not disrupt the class. There are also alot of teams, organizations, and clubs. I am in student council, seventh grade girls volleyball, basketball, ski club, drama, band, and well that is it. I think the security is very good because they have a video camera by each door going outside and in the hallways. The principal and assist. principal is really nice and the secritary's are also nice

Discipline and security are below average, The leadership is good but like most schools there are a very few incompatant teachers that do nothing to atribute to students learning and development. The teachers that are great far outweigh the ones that should be let go and I am thankful for that. Most of the teachers and support staff give 100%. There are many activites in a wide varity of interest available to students. Parental involvment is a bit low. My oldest son just graduated and my youngest is going into the eighth grade. Over all the school is very good.
