What a blessing it is to teach at a school with a supportive principal, fabulous staff, great students and encouraging parents! Our Christ-centered environment leads students to grow in their faith and show God's grace in their lives. Teaching at Zion Lutheran School is a JOY!

Zion Lutheran School and Preschool is an excellent academic choice in the Bethalto area. Students are consistently test above public school students by at least 1/2 year. There are SmartBoards in every classroom K-8, a very good student-teacher ratio, and lots of choices for extracurricular activities. As of 2010, all students grade 1 through grade 8 are learning Spanish, and all students K-8 receive instruction on computers. Students can participate in band starting in the 5th grade and receive both group and individual lessons. Students can also choose to receive private piano lessons at school. Beside excellent academics, the school offers a Christ-centered atmosphere and is fully supported by the congregation of the church. As a matter of fact, the school is the number one mission of the church. While Zion does charge tuition, there are ample scholarship funds available and the guidelines for qualifying are quite liberal.

When i went to this school i went all through k-8th grade. Upon graduating 8th grade i went to public high school. The students that attended public school were much more ahead than most of my 8th grade class leaving all of us behind! I think Zions books and teaching cirriculum is way behind! Get with it Zion!

I would Highly reccomend Zion, my kindergardener loves it, The teachers are very involved with their students and I like the small class size and school security.
