Really not a school for small children of the preschool age who need care and encouragement. Better suited for older children.

I love Woodbine Academy. My daughter has been there since preschool and she is now in the 4th grade. The class size is small and I enjoy the one on one attention she receives from her teacher Ms Johnson. The curriculum is outstanding and challenging and I like the communication between the school and myself concernig my childs progress. I'm looking forward to sending my second child to attend soon.

My daughter is now in the first grade and this is her second year at Woodbine. The atmoshere and the teachers encourage children to do thier best. Compared to parents whose children are in public school stories, everything we have to deal with at Woodbine is rather mild. They do need to update the exterior, replace the computers/books, and become more technological (a voicemail, website, and computer classes to name a few things). The tuition does not cover books, fees, or trips which can be very expensive. The class ratio is so low that my daughter probably wouldn't thrive in a overcrowded public school. The kids go to the Settlement Music School for music and the YMCA for gym. I think it is a well rounded program and will keep my children there as long as I can afford it.

I am a proud parent of a student that attends woodbine academy. My child is in the process of completing her first year of schooling (pre-k). It has truely been a remarkable experience for my daughter as well as, myself. Several outside trips to cultivate the young children minds. Personally, I have found the staff/administation very easy to talk to. The student-body for the most part always seems upbeat and ready to learn!...Something that is totally lacking in most public schools. Yes, the outer appears can use a little touch-up. Most importantly, is the comfort in wanting to attend, and the desire to listen and learn...That's what I see in my child. And that's why I will enroll my child in 'woodbine academy' for the 2009 school year!
