The staff works so hard to bring all of the children up to acceptable standards. They are always looking for new ideas, what works, and what they can do better. I feel fortunate to be a part of this team. The teaching staff and principal are highly professional and motivated.
My son started kindergarten at Highland in 2005 and I've become active in the PTC, volunteering more than 600 hours at the school. It is a warm, safe environment in which students are expected to respect one another, challenge themselves, and to attempt to resolve their own problems; all great skills to have as an adult! The Highland environment, the teachers, the educational assistants, and the principal are all wonderful for the development of young people.
Both of my children went through Highland during 1997 through present as my daughter is in 4th grade at Highland. My son is now 13. I am very pleased with the school, teachers and the Principle.
