I couldn't in my wildest imagination ever picture any parent intentionally choosing cohasset public schools to educate any ld child with even a slight need! This, in my opinion, is a completely delusional parent who wrote in how improved their child is! There has been for 20 years disrupt and almost yearly changes in administration and always bullying, dishonesty and illegal behaviors demanded and performed by the special Ed directors whom , in my opinion, have been unethical, non- compliant and inept. The only reason parents aren't on the news is to save their poor kids! In my experience, this was a horrible system to have anything to do with. When I relocate I will believe absolutely nothing about the school districts. It's fluff! I have a niece and two nephews who went through Weymouth public schools and did wonderfully well. They graduated with great opportunities and their dignity and self esteem intact. In my opinion, Cohasset is unreasonable on many levels. It'd be funny if it weren't so sad, what a joke this school system is. Some of the teachers are a joke! In my experience they do not want parent involvement! Very strange place, in my opinion.

The adminstrative staff and specifically a very poor Vice Principal for the Middel school are ineffective when dealing with any substnatial issues such as bullying, inapproprate student behaviors or questions of any substance. In fact there are almost no repercussions for the bad student behaviors and almost hostility from the staff when questioned or disagreed with. In short no healthy exchange or partnership here. College educated parents including our own Ivy backgrounds make for decent srudents in our kids, and our own child as well, but no magic in the school at all...........disappointing.

Not a prep school, not even close. Written below is a fantasy that some parent wants to believe so that they can justify buying themselves another new BMW, sailboat, or house addition instead of paying close attention to their child's education. The parents here in Cohasset are selfish like that and would rather pretend everything is better than it is so that they don't have to dip into their pocket, or stand up to the problems at the school and create change. The genetics are the only thing the school has going for it (successful families...in an upscale town). The school is not doing anything special, this is an average public school probably worthy more of a "6 or 7". If you pay attention, the same five kids apply to a ton of good schools and then they put all of these high profile acceptance letters on the wall in the hallway. It is very deceiving at first glance unless you really look at it. Bullying is also not successfully dealt with by the underwhelming talent in the administrative area. It is a huge problem and there are a lot of miserable kids at the middle school and high school. There are some very talented and devoted teachers, but unfortunately they are the minority.

A prep school education at a public price. The graduating class is usually between 80-100 and almost 10 percent are invited to the ivies or public ivies

A blog by nature is public territory. If you don't want something to be public knowledge, don't post it on the internet.
