I got to say when my oldest daughter who is now in ZHS went to CMS I wasnt sure what to think since it wasnt the middle school primarily in zephyrhills. I was very suprised at how great that school is. The teachers, principal and atmosphere of other students really can structure a childs life to work hard and not give up. My daughter went in as an average grade student to become almost a straight A student by the end of the 8th grade. Some teachers like Mr.Duda offered after school help in math for students that needed it! All the teachers pitched in to watch their students succeed! That is what this school is about "success"! I have 3 more children that are going to this school currently! There isnt any better middle school than CMS!

Our son is receiving a balanced education and social status. He enjoys being active and has the ability to excel. Centennial offers him an opportunity to grow in learning and in bahavior. We are excited as parents to see him grow up at Centennial Elementary School. Great Job CMS !

If you truly mean a shy kid who wants to be outgoing, then I would help them interact with one child at a time. If you are talking about an introverted child, refer to http://www.carlkingdom.com/10-myths-about-introverts

Find something you are good at or enjoy doing a lot, just one thing. You'll gain confidence and meet other kids that enjoy that activity too. Mine was singing in choir. I wasn't good at anything else but that built my confidence for other things... More »
