My son last year at Hybla Valley ES was in 2008. The staff was very nice, but lots of the students were from low income housing and Hispanic and did not understand English so the teacher would have to repeat the lessons in both English and Spanish. This took anyway valuable learning time for english speaking children. And the test grades were very low. My child now goes to another school which is much better.

I love Hybla Valley! I went there as a child, and now both my children are attending. I had the pleasure of graduating high school with the friends that I made while at Hybla Valley and hope that my children have that same opportunity. My son had the best kindergarten experience when he started and hope that my daughter will too this year. I volunteer and much as possible and get to meet a few of the teachers. Some I wonder about but because I already know so many of the support staff and other teachers I now that the majority are truely great and caring teachers who are more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure your child is a success!!

This is my son's first year at Hybla Valley, some of the teachers and staff are very nice. I am still feeling my way but so far I am feeling a little leary about the school. I am very concern about their low testing scores and I am a little concerned about what type of teachers they are getting. I will not say it is a bad school but I do have my concerns. I will contiue to give the school a try and see what happends.
