I think this is a really family oriented school. Most of the teachers love to have parents help out in the classroom. I just wished they had something for the gifted students.

This is a small town school with very dedicated teachers and staff. They get to know the kids and work with them to develop their weak areas and and allow the kids to take advantage of the areas where they excel. It is very community oriented and my kids loved going there. My wife and I apprecited the staff. Over the years we spent many hours with them working with us to help our kids grow and mature into great young adults.

The school does alot with the little they have to work with. The staff is open to discussion and trying to accomadate special needs kids.

My child has a disability and this school has been very supportive and willing to work with us to help him unlike the North Thurston district. His teacher is wonderful and communicates often. I am a little disappointed with the music and arts offerings and lack of special student presentations, i.e. holiday events, plays, etc. but the curriculum is good overall. The principal is a wonderful, caring man who really loves these kids. I am not a fan of the 'Make Your Day' discipline program at all and I wish they would scrap it completely! My child's psychiatrist feels it is detrimental to all children, not just those with disabilities. I am happy to be in a school with such a caring staff though, so until the district recognizes that this program is not a good choice, I will live with it and just keep stating my opinion.
