Parents I have talked to express that this is a public school that resembles a private school. I have now sent my child to Cath. school and this school doesn't compare. This school had an overload of programs for the low-performing and not much for higher achievers or in the arts. Test scores seem to be the biggest concern. I didn't see much leadership from the principal as the vice principal seemed to do a little more. I felt the school itself was also overcrowded.
I have put alot of kids thru this school. My own, foster kids and now 2 children I do daycare for. They really seem to care and more importantly all the kids actually LIKE going to school!!
I love Ridgely Elementary School because I have worked there and my daughter went to school there, it is like family there and such a wonderful faculty there.
The quality of the teacher's in Ridgely Elementary School is top notch. They are there to listen whenever you need to talk. The teacher's will also take your child's learning ability into account when teaching. The children seem to enjoy going to school.
