My son is in his fourth year at Lake Mary Prep. He started in 6th grade and is now a Freshman this year. We have been with the school since Meritas purchased and I would have to say that the focus on academics is stronger, the teachers are better, they have a real music and drama program that was lacking prior. The tuition is high, and while no school is perfect, the adminstration will meet with you and discuss difficulties you or the student are having. They want to challenge the children in every subject, so as they move through middle school and then into high school they may be at different levels for different subjects. This keeps the GPA up while making sure they can achieve as much as possible. We really appreciate that individual attention.

Very helpful, small class size and the ability to work one on one with teachers. Leadership/adminstration has been strenghtened since meritas purchased. An excellent school getting better every day.

Excellent school..Public schools in sanford are so in need of more...Lmp just keeps getting better....Sports,academics and music! my child has loved it for years.

Wow! Reading the last two reviews completely surprises me. Our child attended the school prior to Meritas and continues today. She is challenged by the teachers & is testing in the 95% bracket on National exams. (act, psat) I feel many times parents wish to blame Schools, teachers & even snobby parents when their child is not excelling. Certainly they are correct in trying to find a better match for their child but should not 'blame' the school. I do not agree the school is going down fast but have seen constant improvement & better communication between the teachers and the parents. We are contacted by teachers (via email) whenever our child is not doing her best work. Due to this we have the ability to correct unproductive habits early. We are also provided several programs (international travel, Leadership conferences, College visits etc) that help enrich our child's education.
