i have a first grader and a kindergartner in this school. It is a wonderful school. The teachers are caring. The art and music program is great. We walk to and from school every day. I love the neighborhood and the school. We are soon moving to L.A. and I don't know if we could find such and wonderful school as this again.
Cheltenham Elementary provides a nurturing environment for children to learn. They balance school curriculum with educational learning opportunities. The school has an active Parent/Teacher Organization that provides additional resources to support the learning environment. The teachers care about the students and include parents in the learning process. Cheltenham is a great place for a child to start their educational career.
Cheltenham Elementary is a wonderful school. My 2nd grader wakes up every morning eager to go to school. The teachers respect the children and the parents. I used to talk with my son's 1st grade teacher on the regular basis, on her cell phone. She wasn't just his teacher she was his second mother. This year my son has his first male teacher. This year he has become very enthusiastic about science, a subject he never mentioned before. Overall this school is very nurturing and provides lots of enrichment for the students. They offer more challenging homework that is not excessive for students that are working above grade level.

Extremely please with this school! My first-grader just absolutely loves going to school every day. I actually moved out of state only to find that the new elementary school that my child attended was horrible. Needless to say, I packed up and moved back! At Cheltenham Elem, they care about the children. They make learning fun and keep the kids engaged. I love the diversity, they encourage lots of reading, and the math is appropriate. To put it simply, the curriculum makes sense! The amount of homework is not overwhelming that there's enough time to review spelling words or read library books--this is very important to working parents. When I put my daughter on the school bus every morning, I feel comfortable and confident that she is in a wonderful learning environment and that she is in the hands of educators who really care.
