There seems to be quite a lack of school to home communication. Many things that would be of interest to most parents, seems to travel eventually through 'the grapevine'. Principal could be much more involved personally.

To simply put 'Private school education in a Public School'. My kids moved from another Pasco school couple of months ago (one in gifted and another in traditional classes) - we see a huge positive difference in their vocabulary & math skills. Both of my kids enjoy the school. Teachers are very approachable & responsive via email or phone or by a note. They are even flexible to talk over the phone if we cannot make it to the conference in direct. My special kudos to Mrs. Bowen and Ms. McNickel for their commitment and style of instruction. Even the front office has a very pleasant staff. Good Job Pine View Elem. team!!!

The principal is defensive and unresponsive. I asked to speak with her once and she said it was an inconvenient time. When I asked when would be better, she let me know that she was very busy and there was no time convenient. When notes are sent in to communicate something to the teacher, there is no response. Follow up notes are ignored. What avenue should one take when the teacher doesn't communicate and the principal is not approachable? The school has lost it's edge when Ms. Joiner retired.
