The teachers and leaders of the Family School do an amazing job with our daughter. They are truly caring people and appear to really love working with children. One of the strong suits of the school is it's diversity. There are students and teachers of many ethnicities and nationalities, and the kids learn about each of these cultures. My daughter (whom is 4) can count to ten and say basic words in Japanese, Mandarin and French. The families of the school also make this a great place. The families are very involved and we've met some great friends through the school.
This is a top-notch montessori preschool. I sent both my kids here and the faciliteis, academic program, and international student body make this school like no other in the region. I cant recommend it enough.

This school has proven to be a great nurturer of our daughter's intellectual development; at age 3, it is amazing some of the knowledge she has already acquired in fields like geography and science. The school follows many of the Montessori principles, but they're not fanatics about it. This, for us, has been the right balance between too much discipline at this age and some schools that seem to be little more than supervised play. We plan to move our daughter to another K-12 school - the Family School does go beyond pre-K but is not noted for those programs. For pre-school though, we can't say enough. One note though...outside of parent-teacher conferences, the school is not big on parental involvement (except homework). This is probably part of the Montessori philosophy.
