The student/teacher ratio allows the teachers to get to know the students' individual strengths & weaknesses very quickly. They have a lot of respect for the students & I've seen my child blossom under this innovative teaching style. My child doesn't feel treated like cattle & is engaged in school. Grades, motivation & morale are UP! Murray has they highest SOL scores in Albemarle Co. & it's one of the best kept secrets.
Nothing made me happier than to be able to say i came from a school like Murray. There is something to be said for the way the teachers would handle us and our different learning needs and interests. I can truly say I'm proud to have been a student at Murray High School.
