This is an excellent caring school.. The teachers go out of their way to make a fun learning experience... Sad to have to leave this fantastic school

This school has an extremely diverse population. The teachers cater to the students needs, and always put the students first. It is attempting to provide more balanced bilingual education by doing pilot programs to make the curriculum more accessible. Overall, it is a caring and supportive environment.

There is absolutely no security for the students at this school. I was able to walk into the grounds and into classromms with no one asking me who I was or what I was doing there. I picked up my grandson and left the premisis and no one bothered to stop me.

Our children are beginning their third year at Cuyamaca. Though there are some positive things about this school, sometimes it is the little things that are forgotten. At times the kids have to eat in their classrooms, which I feel is inappropriate, considering we have an auditoriun, which if set up correctly could double as the cafeteria. I understand the keeping with the standard, but they are pushing these kids to the point that many are being left behind. Time is not given to assist these children in the comprehension area. When a learning problem is pointed out by the school, we have been told to get tutoring for our kids, which financially is not always an option, while the more 'disadvantaged' children are provided that extra help. Overall this is a decent school with decent teachers...but I think it is time to level the playing field to be fair.
