My child attended this school for two years. She was placed in honors classes, but received little support from most of her teachers. Lack of follow-up from staff and many students with social issues that appear to be overlooked. School appears nice on the outside, but there's alot that needs to be done with staff, bullies and troubled kids.

This school has a big problem with bullies. Not a good place for Honor students and kids who really want to learn.
You will get out of the school what you put into it. The approach is important. If you are willing to study and follow classroom and school rules then you should do outstanding. Both of my sons attended Montgomery. They both had outstanding teachers who challenged them and put them in there place as needed. When I noticed their grades on their test and assignments were below, I would contact the teacher and we would get them back on track. The teachers were always willing to support my sons. Of course there will always be problems at any school, however not taking ownership of you part and just blaming the school is unfair and narrow minded. Both my sons graduated from Montgomery with honors and were placed in the IB program at Grantie Hills High School. Education starts at home, continues with school and returns home again. Positive Parent involvement!
