Waynewood is a wonderful school. Its true that there are some parents who are highly competitive. I think this only raises the standard expected from the school and from the teachers..Who are all wonderful!
Waynewood is more than a school, it is a community of motivated teachers, energetic kids, and many active parent volunteers. The after-school activities include sports, science and Shakespeare classes. The class size is around 25. Honesty and community are stressed in the school. It is a wonderful, safe environement for the kids. Some of the best teachers my kids have ever had. We love Waynewood.
The person who posted the last commentary has had a very different experience than we have. The teachers at Waynewood are some of the *best* - smart, passionate, and creative. We also love being part of a school where parents are actively involved and don't just drop their kids at the door. Waynewood is a special place and we feel fortunate to have sent out kids there.
This is a school where who you are & who you know are everything. If you enjoy being around extremely competitive, ambitious people then you will have a delightful time. Parents are highly involved, to the point of being manipulative in school affairs.
