Westgate Elementary School

We moved from Florida to VA and this school is really great. Teacher are very helpful. Only for advanced programs needs to be organized well.

I have had my children attend Westgate for the last 6 years. I am currently looking for a bigger home, yet am not eager to move away from this remarkable school. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this school. The teachers are caring and have the most wonderful philosophies. The principal and vice principal know all of the kids names and faces. They work hard to keep this a 'family school' The PTA puts on great family activities!

We love this school. The teachers are caring and conscientious. The class sizes are small. The administration listens to parents' concerns and follows up on any issues immediately. It is a neighborhood school with children from diverse backgrounds. The principal knows every child's name. We've had our children in expensive private schools that are not as good as this school. Our children love having friends from so many different cultures. The teachers continue to care about your children even when they've moved up to other grades. This school is a gem in the Fairfax County district. It just has a good 'family' feel.

My son is in school for about two years. So far I found the teachers to be very dedicated, competent and considerate in every way. I'm glad we were fortunate to have this school in our neighborhood. Though we need to buy a house and move away, losing this school has become a factor in slowing that process down.
