My son attended for two years, playing in the orchestra. They have ambitious weekly goals for the students, and they get it done. You cannot do better than this school. I wish it were not so expensive. I am glad my son has the memory of this experience. Priceless.

There is simply no better school in the nation for the arts. Period. I attended another arts boarding school and Interlochen's musical talent, teachers, and academics dwarfed the other school I attended. While a boarding school environment is not for everyone, it encourages growth and maturation, and prepares you in ways no other schools can for the college life. The only thing I can say against the school is that I feel personally that uniforms restrict a person's ability to express themselves, and an art school is seemingly the place for self-expression. Perhaps the food could be better, but of course that doesn't really matter! All in all I would make any sacrifice for my child to attend (when I do have children), because I would want them to be as well prepared for the world as I was. Seriously consider it!

This school breaks every bar I have seen set by others regarding academic, tutorial, performance, music, drama, dance... the arts! The don't play games here. The rules are tough, they are enforced, and respected!
