Bailey Middle School

I'm currently a student here in 8th grade and so far bailey has been ok. It hasnt been horrible but it hasnt been great either. Some of the teachers are hard on us students and are very strict which doesnt exactly help us do better. Every kid in my opinion does better when the teachers are fun nice and kind. The principal is...horrible. Everyone talks bad about her. She is strict and mean. The students here are ok but some are really stuck up and think they are better than everyone.

last year was my first year at bailey and it wasn't that great! One, the principal was a jerk! She was so rude, disrespectful to us students and caused great confusion to everyone! Two, most of the little girls they are so stuck up, love to start rumors, and they think they are better than everyone else! Ugh! Three, some of the teachers are just really mean! But, most of em are very nice! Four, the dress code is horrible! Most of the excuses for something is it's 'gang related'! You can't dye your hair 'unnatural' colors, you can't wear a lot of red, blue or gold. And Five, a bunch of the newer kids coming I'm are rude, ignorant, and are want to be gangsters! The good things about the school are too many to list though.So here's one. The elective choice is one word, wonderful! There are many options.

Other than the band program and dance program, we found this school to be very disappointing. The teachers were good for the most part, but the principal lacked in many areas. I know middle school years are the most challenging, but I felt there was an overall lack of respect for the leadership in that school. My daughter made it through, but we were happy to be finished there.

The Band is amazing! I felt like I had little communication with the 6th grade teachers regarding assignments, homework and grades until it was too late...but now with Parent Connect I know what is due when, when the tests are. Love it!!!! I know when my student doesn't turn things in, gets a good or bad grade as soon as it's posted. There are some problem children..they need to increase discipline with them. Dress code issues last year were a joke. We only had problems with one English teacher in 6th grade. She made 6th grade very hard for my kid. Overall my kid loves Bailey, more this year than last.
