Kirby has an active gifted and talented program and offers college classes on campus through the local community college. My daughter graduated with over 18 hrs of college credit. There is a brand new elementary building and science lab. The high school was expanded a few years ago. There are plans for a new agri and gym. For a small community, the school offers small class size, dedicated teachers and staff, and a forward thinking board. The community is supportive and involved with school activities. Perhaps small rural communities cannot offer as much variety as larger school, but Kirby certainly prepared my husband and I for college. For parents who want to get involved, we are a great place to be.

This is one of the worst schools ever. When my child went here the school had nothing to offer for AP courses and acedimics. This school is so poor and broke down they need to be shut down!

Kirby school has to be the greatest school by far in this area of the state. The teachers are the finest in the state and know the students personaly and take great care to teach them to the best of their ability. I went to kirby school for 12 years, so did my mom and daddy, my children and some of my grandchildren. A good school like ours is hard to find and it would be a shame to lose a good school that would not be made better by consolidating with another. We love our great school system and perfer to keep it as it is. Patsy Foshee

Kirby is a great school with a very caring and dedicated staff!! I'm thankful for a school like Kirby where everybody knows every body and the teachers know their students and care about their success. If we allow schools like Kirby to be consolidated we will be doing our children a great injustice. Fight for our school!
