Avon Elementary has the best, most hard-working, teachers and staff in the District. The principal has a clear goal for success and genuinely cares about her community. If you want your child to be successful in life and the future, send them to Avon Elementary!
First of all let me say that it really does not matter where your child attends school. It's all about being involved with your child and helping them with their needs. Students who end up staying inside and watching tv all summer while {or all the time} the parents are working, and their school work end up suffering. My daughter not only knows how to read,write and speak a different language she now is socializing more. Learning another language is not a barrier and the younger they can do it the better.
Avon Elementary has the worst stadards and direction. If your child has a A-C avarage grade he/she will be concidered board. Do to other language needs the school teaches at such a low standard. This is fine, but your child will be conciderd a problem because they are board so the teachers and principal will single your child out for disaplinary probloms. So if you care about your childs education, well being, and sence of happines do not send your child to Avon Elementary. There are other, or I should say better choices out there.
