Baker has a great principal that is committed to making Baker one of the better elementary schools in our community. The teachers at Baker are awesome and they are really helping the kids to learn. I only wish that there was more parent involvement, I truly believe that is the key to any school's success. Karen Strickland, Parent of a Baker student

Baker has traditionally had a good group of energetic and dedicated teachers. My children learn a lot at Baker. I am very disappointed with current administration. I feel that this school's administration is not doing enough to invite open parent involvement and does not consider parent concerns. The difference in Baker this year has been appalling.

There are some dedicated and very well informed teachers, but you must request the ones you wish for your child. The biliteracy program is both balanced and directed in literacy, but lacks science, history, and any math enrichment. Office and support staff are excellent, but are changing this year. Scores overall are currently low but the commitment to change is real. Problems include low attendance, marginal parent support, and confusion within the district itself. Student #s are low, with some classes as low as 11 in primary grades.
