Jackson is an extrordinary school. It is made of teachers, parents and administration who care about children. Students at Jackson are given a quality and balanced education. This year the focus has been writing. Jackson has started a new intervention program in reading for Kindergarten and First grade. Everyday is a good day to be a Jackson Jaguar.

Jackson elementary is so-so. It might be good in comparison to other Hillsboro/Oregon schools but truely lacks compared to other schools we have been acreoos the country. Teachers lack enthusiasim, the general attitude with students, and parents is very 'stand-offish'. My child has stated a lack of positive reinforcement in this school as compared to others( out of state). Jackson could do alot better.

The HSD as a whole pretty much bites, short school year, short school days and not a whole lot of learning. I swear it seems like there is not a complete week where the kids are in school all day all week. We are definitely not getting our dollars worth when it comes to Education in the HSD.

Jackson Elementary School is one of the best elementary school in Hillsboro district. It has one of the best PTA's and also good parent teacher involvement. The principal Ms.Hill is very involved which helps a lot.I also like it that the classes are till the 6th grade instead of upto the 5th. Academically the school has a good rating amongst the Hillsboro schools.Overall the school is one among the best and my kids love the school and the teachers.
