This is my secound year at Big Lake Middle School. I believe that it is filled with wonderful staff and teachers. The lessons are fun, and you learn a lot from them also. I feel like it is a safe environment, I always have somebody to talk to when I need help. It is a great place to try new things, and be yourself. The new principals have a great way of directing things. They are really nice but, in order for them to be good to you. You have to respect the rules and policies. It is the Hornet Way.

I think big lake middle school is the best school in the world after seeing the monticello, becker, elk river, coon rapids, and minneapolis schools, since i lived all those places, plus russia, china, india, brazil, italy, and big lake is the very best so far.

I'm excited for my daughter, as she previously struggled in another school district. She loves it here and teachers make these kids accountable for the good stuff and the bad. Thank you for teaching, because it shows that you care about your students. Keep up the good work.

I feel this school does an excellent job of doing the best they can with the resources they have. They really have what is best for the students in mind.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
