My son Chance has loved being at this school, the teachers are great and the quality of teaching is excellent. I recommend this school to all parents.
Jones is a hidden gem in Serra Mesa. The new Principal, Rita Powell, has shown excellent leadership skills and truly cares about students. Kindergarten teachers are awesome. After that, it's hit or miss. Some are fabulous, dedicated teachers who love their jobs, while a few need to change professions.The computer lab is excellent. The school would greatly benefit from an art, music, or foreign language program.
It is our sons second day of Kinder and he loves it!!! We constantly hear him singing the songs he has learned and the rules he has learned. So far Ms. Pincus is a great teacher, so sweet with ALL the kids:) There is a Great new Principal this year as well. I picked this school because of its rating at greatschools.com and they really seem to help each child learn and keep up to par. I am looking forward to the rest of the year!!!
Jones is a great school. Our K teacher was phenomenal. An excellent educator, devoted to each child's development. Ms. Brady will be missed. If the school had some kind of art/music program, it'd make it full circle. : ( sacramento needs to put the money where it's needed. Nice community, Friendly and motivated PTA.
