My child attends Berrendo Eelementary. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to the parents and students alike. The staff goes above and beyond their duties to make sure that every student is included and important. The staff teaches in a fun and educational manner. There are many extracuricular activites for the students and parents alike. Berrendo is an awesome school!

We have two children at Berrendo Elementary and have been extremely impressed. There is a lot of parental involvement in the classrooms and through the PTA. The Principal is excellent, and our children's teachers are organized, loving, and do a good job of maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. We have been involved in great schools in many different parts of the country and I would highly reccomend this school to anyone new to Roswell. Berrendo also has a fantastic 'gifted' program that is very science oriented and 'hands on'.

I am a long time mom of Berrendo Elementary School. I have three children that have gone, or are currently attending. I can't even begin to tell you what a wonderful group of people work at our school. The principle always makes the parents feel welcome and encourages participation from all. I have had children in this school for the past 9 years and we have been blessed with wonderful teachers along the way. The teachers go the extra mile for their students. We have the teachers that teach for the love of teaching, and all the children know this and rise to do their best because the teachers certainly are doing their part.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
