I have not been very pleased with the help or lack of for my children who have problems in reading. The school and district are hard to work with and are not always very understanding when you have a child that struggles.

Last year toward's the end of the year was a little intense with several of the school staff being suspended and resigning from their duties. I am hoping this year will be a new and vibrant fresh start for all. I am in high hopes of a great year with a new principal. Overall, I think Weinert has a lot of potential but I am disappointed that my son has been in this school since Kindergarten and this will be the first year (5th grade) that he will have homework most every day. I think he will be in shock for a while because he has never experienced having to do homework before. I think he should have had homework (other than reading 20 minutes each day) at least since the 3rd grade. I know of other schools in the district that have homework in every subject every day.

This is a great school. The teachers are all great and they are led by a great principle. My children have gone here for the past 5 yrs. and when I drop them off its like they are with family. The school is very family oriented and the education that they recieve is super. Noone gets left behind and there is always help for those who need it.
