Hurlock has been a great school for my children. The teachers, administration, and staff really care. The over all atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and caring. THANK YOU to everyone who works at HES. You have a BIG JOB! I appreciate all of your efforts and hard work!
I totally love Hurlock Elementary School. My children have received a good education with loving and caring teachers who want to teach. The principal is wonderful.
In my opinion, this school has lost sight of the important job at hand...nuturing and educating our children. I saw a lot of political cowardess standing in the way of good decision making. This is not to say that every staff member is lacking, we encountered 3, out of our 5 teachers, that were incredible. The other 2 were intimidating to the point of being frightening to the children. Communication and cooperation are a very weak point. When extra help was needed, I could not count on the school to follow through. My child attended Hurlock for grades Pre-K through 1. A transfer became necessary for the sake of my child's education and well-being.
