I wish I could give it less than 1 star but it won't let me. This is one of the worst schools I have ever had my kid in or researched. The only good thing is they have a group where kids can meet for lunch for loss of a family member, military kids, etc. The staff are so rude. The teachers do not care about their students. The principal has a don't care attitude and it shows in the way the staff interacts with both the children and the parents. I am usually an easy going super nice person but this school has me angry every time I go up there because of their lack of concern. I went to pick up my child and she was told to go to the wrong place and no one could locate her even though she was next to one of the teachers. They have zero accountability for their actions! This school needs a major overhaul. it is sad they get more funding then most states and are so behind on everything. I think it has everything with the staff that works there! Please find another place for your child for the sake of your and his/her well being. Mrs. Barkley!

My daughter has been here 2 years and we are very pleased. She has loved both of her teachers and is doing beautifully. I am impressed with how much she is learning and all of the different activities the students do.

Theteachers at Blaney Elementary School are excellent, my children attended Richland district two and now my grandchildren attend here and I consider this school comparable to the top schools in that district. If it wasn't I would pay for my grands to attend a private school.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
